昨年4月1日に亡くなったアダム・シュレシンジャー（ファウンテインズ・オブ・ウェイン）の追悼音楽祭が、
2021年5月5日（日本時間5月6日午前9時）に開催決定。オンライン配信も予定されている。
このイベントはファウンテインズ・オブ・ウェインのギタリスト、ジョディ・ポーターが先頭に立ってプロデュース。
生前のアダムと縁のあった面々や、同時代のインディロック／パワーポップを牽引したアーティストによって彼が遺した楽曲のカバーが披露される。
ポーターは、「才能豊かでグルーヴィーな豪華ゲスト達と共に、僕のSoul Brother、アダム・シュレシンジャーを音楽で見送りたい」と述べた。
「アダム・シュレシンジャー音楽祭／バーチャルショー」では、ニューヨークのThe Bowery Electricと、その他の場所で収録されたライブパフォーマンスが披露される。
このイベントは、アダムの生涯と才能を祝福するものであり、彼の楽曲、コンサート映像、ストーリーで構成される。
